THE BEGINNING

Jharkhand Aanchal Foundation is registered under the Societies Registration Act 21, 1860, in 2015 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the empowerment of tribal women and marginalized communities. Our journey began in 2012 when a group of seven tribal women, recognizing the struggles faced by their own communities, came together in Sahibganj district with a shared vision of bringing meaningful change.

As tribal women ourselves, we have firsthand experience of the socio-economic hardships, gender disparities, and lack of access to basic rights that many in our communities face. With this understanding, we established Jharkhand Aanchal Foundation to work towards uplifting tribal women by improving access to education, healthcare, nutrition, and sustainable livelihoods.

Our organization follows a grassroots, community-driven approach, ensuring that tribal women are not just beneficiaries but active participants in their own development. Through initiatives in women’s empowerment, child welfare, health and hygiene, skill development, and livelihood generation, we strive to create lasting impact. Jharkhand Aanchal Foundation remains committed to building a future where every tribal woman has the opportunity to live with dignity, independence, and self-sufficiency.
