Jharkhand Aanchal Foundation (JAF) is a women headed, non-profit organization registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. Committed to empowering women, children, and marginalized communities, JAF primarily serves the Dalit and tribal populations of the Santhal Pargana and Chotanagpur regions. Our mission is to foster equality, social justice, and sustainable development, with a special focus on protecting fundamental civil and human rights and promoting environmental sustainability.
At JAF, we recognize the deep-seated challenges of oppression, exploitation, and socio-economic disparities faced by these communities.
To address these issues, we implement a holistic, community-based approach that emphasizes:

Through our integrated programs, we work in 70 villages, directly impacting the lives of over 3000 women and 1,500 children, particularly from the Santhal and Pahariya tribes. Proper nutrition in early childhood is the foundation for a healthy and bright future. Our Pre-School Nutrition Program focuses on providing essential nutrients to 120 children (0-5 years old) in the villages of Durgatola Panchayat, ensuring their proper growth and development.
Malnutrition remains a critical challenge in many rural areas, affecting children's cognitive and physical development. To combat this, we provide formula milk and glucose biscuits, health check-ups, and awareness sessions for families to promote healthy eating habits. Through community participation and dedicated efforts, we are building a healthier tomorrow, one child at a time.

Jharkhand Aanchal Foundation is actively working to raise awareness about Community Forest Rights (CFR) and Individual Forest Rights (IFR) under the Forest Rights Act, 2006, ensuring that tribal and forest-dependent communities secure their legal entitlements.
In the villages of Borio and Mandro blocks, Sahibganj District, our awareness programs educate local communities, especially the Santhal and Pahariya tribes, about their rights over forest land.Through training sessions, legal aid, and village-level meetings, we assist them in filing land claims, understanding sustainable forest management, and accessing government benefits.
So far, our campaign has reached more than 500 families across 15 villages, empowering them with the knowledge to protect their traditional lands and livelihoods.
By securing these rights, we aim to enhance food security, promote sustainable forest use, and preserve indigenous heritage.
Jharkhand Aanchal Foundation is dedicated to enhancing women’s health through awareness campaigns and community outreach across 50 villages in Borio and Mandro blocks, Sahibganj District. Our focus areas include maternal health, menstrual hygiene, reproductive rights, and nutrition, ensuring women have access to crucial healthcare information and services.
Through our initiatives, we have reached over 2,000 women, providing sanitary pads, prenatal supplements, and nutritional aid to pregnant and lactating mothers. Our health camps, educational workshops, and collaborations with local ASHA workers help spread awareness on safe motherhood, anemia prevention, and personal hygiene practices.
By equipping women with the right knowledge and resources, we strive to reduce health disparities, foster self-care, and build stronger, healthier communities for the future.

Through community awareness drives, health screenings, and collaboration with local health authorities, we aim to detect, prevent, and reduce the spread of TB among vulnerable populations.

With over 20 villages covered, our goal is to create a TB-free community by promoting timely testing, treatment completion, and better public health practices.
As part of our commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger, the Rahat Ration Distribution Program provided essential food supplies to 300 families in Borio and Mandro blocks, Sahibganj district. Each family received rice, wheat, and chana, ensuring food security for vulnerable households facing economic hardships.
With a focus on uplifting marginalized communities, particularly tribal and Dalit families, this initiative addressed immediate nutritional needs while fostering long-term resilience. Through community engagement and support, we aim to create a sustainable food distribution system that safeguards families from hunger and malnutrition.
